Parks & Recreation Commission

The Parks & Recreation Commission advises the City Council on parks, trails, recreation programs, community events, and open space preservation. The five-member commission meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Community Center. The Commission reviews capital improvement proposals for park facilities, recommends programming priorities, and helps plan annual community events including the Riverside Heights Summer Festival and the Holiday Tree Lighting celebration.
