Rebecca Stein

Mayor Rebecca Stein was elected to the Riverside Heights City Council in 2020 and was chosen by her colleagues to serve as Mayor in 2024. A former planning director for the City of Temecula, she holds a Master of Urban Planning from UCLA. Mayor Stein leads the Council's efforts on smart growth, downtown revitalization, and regional transportation planning. She serves on the Riverside County Transportation Commission and the Southern California Association of Governments. She lives in Riverside Heights with her family and two rescue dogs.
