Thomas O'Brien

Council Member Thomas O'Brien joined the Riverside Heights City Council in 2020. A retired Battalion Chief with CAL FIRE, he served 28 years protecting communities across Southern California. O'Brien holds a B.S. in Fire Science from Cogswell College. He is the Council's leading voice on public safety, emergency preparedness, and wildfire mitigation. He chairs the Public Safety Subcommittee and serves as liaison to the Riverside County Fire Chiefs Association.
